How NannyMatch+ collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. What Data We Collect
We collect profile and intake information (family composition, care needs, schedule, and working-style responses for families; experience, certifications, availability, and working-style responses for nannies), identity verification data (government ID, admin-access only, never shared with other users), reference and background-check data (collected with consent), payment data (handled by our third-party processors, not stored directly by us), usage data (messages, response times, login activity), and communication data (in-platform chat content).
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to operate the matching function, to facilitate communication between matched users under our progressive-disclosure rules, to calculate reachability scores and related badges, to process payments through our named processors, and to send platform communications.
3. Data Retention
While your account is active, paused, or within the 60-day recoverable window following lockout, your documents (IDs, references, certifications) are retained in full. Once an account reaches full closure โ automatic lockout expiry or a user-initiated permanent close โ documents are deleted within a 30-day grace window. If a dispute is genuinely open on an account, deletion is paused until it resolves.
4. Data Sharing
With matched users: profile content is visible according to our name-visibility policy; contact information is released only at the defined mutual-confirmation stage; identity documents are never shared with other users, only with admin. With service providers: payment processors (Tranzila, Stripe), messaging infrastructure (Twilio/WhatsApp), and hosting/database providers (Supabase). With background-check providers, if/when a check is arranged. We never sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We use private storage buckets, Row Level Security policies that scope access to the account owner and admin only, and short-lived signed URLs for document viewing.
6. Your Rights
Under Israeli privacy law, you have the right to access your data, request correction of inaccurate data, and request deletion (subject to our retention policy and any active legal holds). To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in ยง10.
7. Children's Data
We collect information about children (ages, care needs) as part of a family's profile. This data is provided by the parent or guardian โ we do not collect data directly from children, and children do not create accounts.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use session data necessary for login and account function. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
9. International Data Transfers
Some payment processing may be handled outside Israel by our payment processors.
